05/29/24 | Blogging, DIY, Juicing, LifeStyle, Recipes

As a Registered Nurse working during the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening my immune system became essential and so… this recipe was created! Our zesty ginger shot is spicy, tangy, and concentrated- whether you are seeking a morning pick-me-up, a post-workout refresher, or simply a boost of wellness in your daily routine, this elixir has got you covered!

The potent nodes of ginger and turmeric intertwine with the tangy brightness of freshly squeezed lemon juice and apple cider vinegar to create a harmonious fusion that leaves you feeling revitalized from the inside out. But it is not just about the yummy taste and energy boost – this humble shot packs a powerful punch of health benefits too. Ginger, renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, works wonders for digestion, immune support, and overall well-being.

Making ginger shots at home gives you the ability to load your tonic with delicious and nourishing goodness. Let’s dive into this simple yet powerful recipe and discover how to whip up this wellness potion in just a few simple steps!

Our homemade zesty ginger shot, brimming with freshness and flavor, is sure to revitalize your senses from the inside out!

  • Health Benefits – Studies suggest ginger is anti-bacterial, anti-cancerous, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial. It’s loaded with antioxidants, helps relieve pain and nausea, and provides liver protection.
  • Energizing – Potent and refreshing, this zesty ginger shot will supercharge your day and support your overall energy levels.
  • Customizable – We like to maximize the flavor and health benefits by adding oregano oil, garlic oil and cayenne pepper.
  • Enjoy on the go! – To savor your homemade zesty ginger shot, simply pour into 2 ounce glass bottles, refrigerate and enjoy one daily! We recommend making a weekly batch.

Cheers to health, happiness, and the joy of culinary exploration! Until next time, happy juicing everyone!

Ingredients
  • 2 Large ginger roots Equivalent to 1/3 cup ginger root extract
  • 7 Teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Cup Water or coconut water
  • 4 Teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 1 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 14 Drops Oregano oil
  • 7 mL Garlic oil
Servings: Shots
Instructions
  1. Let's start by gathering our ingredients and washing the ginger and lemons. Some peel the skin off the ginger, but we prefer keeping it on!
  2. Grab your juicer and begin juicing the ginger. If you don't have a juicer, you can use a blender and strainer.
  3. Juice lemons and combine juice with the ginger into a pouring container.
  4. Pour apple cider vinegar and coconut water.
  5. Mix in cayenne pepper and turmeric powder.
  6. Now it's time to add the garlic oil and oregano oil.
  7. Give it a good mix before pouring into 2 ounce containers. And there you have it, your very own zesty ginger shots!
